One set of correspondence took place with the Bombay Natural History Society and three other organisations, who had challenged the 2006 Wild Life (Protection) Amendment (see Tiger Conservation) in court.  A second set took place in October 2007 with an organisation called Vanashakti which was opposing the Forest Rights Act.
